Do the legs come with my bench order?  I see they are listed as a separate item.

Yes, you receive a set of legs with every order.  We have the legs listed separately on the order form in case yours get broken for any reason, i.e., lawnmower damage, weed eater damage, damage from moving the assembled bench, etc.

How do I care for my bench?

Written Care Instructions are included on the Packing Slip with your package, however, we will print them here just in case:

  1. To clean, use mild soap and water only - No Solvents.

  2. Use care when mowing and trimming around legs.

  3. Do not leave bench out in severe weather conditions such as freezing weather, snow, hail, etc.

Why can't I leave the bench out in freezing weather?

Concrete will absorb a certain amount of moisture from rain.  When moisture freezes, it will swell.  When the moisture freezes, it can swell to the point that it will quite literally 'pop out' tiny bits of the concrete; usually around the lettering.  It can also cause the paint to peel and the legs or the bench top to crack.  We recommend moving the bench inside to protect it from freezing weather during the winter months.

How do I assemble the bench?

Place the legs on the floor or on a secure, flat section in your garden (preferably on flat, level concrete stepping stones.)  Place the top on the legs for positioning, being certain that the legs are evenly spaced to the outside edges and are curved to the bench top.   Once the legs are in the correct position, gently remove the bench top.  Apply a liberal amount of construction adhesive around the lip of both legs (Liquid Nail will work just fine.)  Set the bench top onto the legs and lightly apply pressure to create an air-tight seal of the top to the legs. Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to dry.  You will need about 10-12 ounces of adhesive.

My bench arrived broken, what do I do now?

Visible shipping damage (box damage) should be noted to the delivery driver upon delivery if possible.  If the box was delivered when no one was home and it is obvious the box is damaged, please take digital pictures of the damaged box.  Open the box to inspect the contents.  Take digital pictures of any shipping related damage, i.e., cracks in top or legs, obvious breakage, etc.  Email us immediately to let us know the condition of the contents and to send the digital pictures:  info@swgraphix.com along with the PO number or invoice number associated with your order.  Re-pack the contents in the original box and securely tape it closed.  We will issue a call tag for the bench to be inspected and shipped back to us.  As soon as we receive the bench, we will ship out a new one.  If you had ordered a custom bench, it will be about 2 1/2 weeks until we can ship out a replacement.  Damage from shipping should be reported immediately.

My bench arrived and it looks like some of the paint is peeling.  How do I fix it?

Sometimes during shipping, the shipper turns the box on its side, on its end or even upside down.  This can cause the Styrofoam packing to rub the paint and virtually peel it off in spots.  If the paint is peeling, please take digital pictures and send them to us along with the PO number or Invoice number associated with your order.  You will find these numbers on the packing slip.  After we receive your pictures, we will issue a call tag for the bench.  Please be sure to repack the bench in the same order as you unpacked it and seal it securely with packing/shipping tape. After we receive the bench in our warehouse, we will ship out a replacement.  If your order was for a custom bench, it will be 2 1/2 weeks from receiving your damaged bench until a new one ships.  Damage should be reported immediately.

Why do I have to save all the packaging for the life of the warranty?

We require that you save all the packaging for the life of the warranty in case there are any manufacturer defects that you cannot see upon initial inspection.  The bench needs to be re-packed in its original container with all the original packaging for safe return to our warehouse.  Should you experience manufacturer defects with your order, please send digital pictures of the defects to info@swgraphix.com along with the PO number or Invoice number associated with your order.  You will find these numbers on your Packing Slip.

If I scratch the paint when I am assembling the bench, what type of paint do I get to repair it?

You can contact us and we will be happy to send you touch-up paint complete with instructions.  If you attempt to paint the bench yourself during the warranty period, you will void your warranty.

Can I apply a sealer to the bench to protect the paint?

Please do not apply any type of sealer to the bench as it can actually cause all the paint to peel off.  If you apply any type of sealer, you will void your warranty.

I accidentally threw away my Packing Slip with the warranty information.  Can I get a copy?

LIMITED WARRANTY:  Warranty covers all manufacturer defects for a period of 60 days from the date of purchase.  Warranty covers defects arising under normal wear and tear and does not cover any defects resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect (including severe weather), or repairs by someone other than the original Product Manufacturer. NOT COVERED: Warranty applies only to the original purchaser at retail and may not be transferred.

I would like a graphic on my custom bench but do not see one I like on the website. Can I submit my own graphics?

Certainly!  If you have art-ready graphics saved as Vector files (Corel Draw), please email the file to us.  There is a $35.00 per hour artwork fee with a minimum fee of $35.00 for any graphic file that has to be re-drawn, including some Vector files.  We will contact you at the email address provided to let you know the correct artwork charge.
